The Neighbors Network is a network of, by, and for the neighbors.

What are the basic ideas?
* building community
* enhancing public safety
* facilitating communications

We are building a street-by-street, block-by-block network of neighbors willing to be points of contact for each other in every neighborhood:

What is the Neighbors Network about?

We are about neighbors helping neighbors. PERIOD!

What is the Neighbors Network NOT ABOUT?

We are NOT ABOUT meetings, meetings, meetings!
We are NOT ABOUT gossip, cliques, and fights!
We are NOT ABOUT partisan politics!
We are NOT ABOUT political opportunism!
We are NOT ABOUT replacing your neighborhood organization or association!

How is the Neighbors Network structured?

* Network Leaders (public)
* Neighborhood Leaders (public)
* Street Leaders (public)
* Network Members (private)

How much does it cost? $0.00 FREE! ZERO! ZIPPO! ZILCH!

How do we do it?!? VOLUME! VOLUME! VOLUME!

& Oh, yeah… no office, no staff, no overhead, & massive diversification!

Why do we need a Neighbors Network? Is it not obvious?

Everyone needs help. Everyone gives help. Everyone is a neighbor.  A network of neighbors can help you find what you are looking for because one of your neighbors might well already know where to find it.

Man is by nature a social animal, and an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human. Society is something in nature that precedes the individual. Anyone who either cannot lead the common life or is so self-sufficient as not to need to, and therefore does not partake of society, is either a beast or he is a god.
                                                                – Aristotle, Politics (1253 A) [4th Century BCE]

We will combine the best of the old & best of the new.

Democracy 2.0 is about using technology to enhance our ability as citizens to work together to make the world a better place.

Neighborhoods 2.0 is about using technology to enhance our ability as neighbors to work together to make our neighborhood a better place.
